I hear it often, but telling the story to yourself and others that you don’t sleep, only reinforces the pattern that you don’t sleep well. Like any pattern, to sleep better you need to break the old one and create a new pattern. To do this, change what you do when you can’t sleep and how you feel about it.

Here are some tips for changing the pattern when you can’t sleep:

  1. Meditation
  2. Don’t look at the clock
  3. Get up and go to the toilet if you don’t usually
  4. Use your self-talk to uplift yourself (this can be difficult but it’s worth it)
  5. Use breath work
  6. If you can’t still your mind, then redirect it 

Breaking any pattern can be difficult and it takes focus. So focus on what it would feel like to sleep better and move into that space.

Who am I?


Someone once told me (a well-respected mentor) that people need “experts” to live a life they value… and I didn’t believe them.

I thought everybody could find their Purpose on their own because I did. I figured out what didn’t work in my life and then I changed it. Actually, I changed me and my direction many times. And come to think of it, it was a LOT of work over MANY years!

And every time I would discover something that worked, all would be sweet and then that method would stop working. Have you ever found that? And I couldn’t work out why. I just thought it wasn’t the right method for me.

But it turns out that it was, it’s just that I had limiting beliefs standing in the way. QUITE A FEW! That I didn't even realize were there, and when I could transform those, things began to work again. My life would flow beautifully and I’d get those synchronicities to let me know I’m on track.
