You Can Fool Your Mind
Did you know that your mind doesn’t know the difference between what is real and what is imagined? Therefore, you can gain the same benefits from imagining as you can from physically being there. Whether you are enjoying the serene benefits of nature in your mind, it can be as good as actually being there in person.
Maybe its just not possible to canoe the tropical waters of Fiji, or have a massage on the beach in Tahiti, but you can still imagine it. For instance, feeling that warm breeze on your face and the smell of the salty ocean air. In addition, you can imagine the warmth of the sun on your body and relax listening to the sound of the waves gently rolling in and out.
Health Benefits of Imagining
There are upsides to imagining the beach and not actually being there. For instance, there are no mosquitoes, bugs or uncomfortable sunburn. It can be as warm or as cool as you like.
You can be on your own or with someone you love. Choose the scenario that makes you feel great. It helps the endorphins kick in, spreading ‘happy cells’ throughout your body. This means you don’t need to rely on anybody acting a certain way for you to feel good. You can do it yourself, no matter where you are or what’s happening around you.
